1. Personal Information

Personal information is defined as addresses, names, telephone numbers, email addresses, occupations, dates of birth, access history information such as IP addresses and cookies, and other pieces of information that allows identification of each Customer as a specific individual. Information that does not allow such identification in and of itself, but allows easy comparison with other pieces of information thereby enabling identification of a specific individual is also included in personal information.

2. Purposes of Use of Personal Information

The purposes of using personal information collected from Customers by the Company are as listed below. The Company will clearly indicate a purpose on a case-by-case basis when using personal information beyond the scope of these purposes of use.

Registration with or application for various services

→ Confirming details of each registration or application, providing various services, etc.

Cooperation toward various questionnaire surveys

→ Summarizing questionnaire survey results, preparing information, etc. for the purpose of improving various services.

→ Providing information on details of various services, new products, support services, etc.

3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company will not disclose nor provide personal information of Customers to third parties excluding the following cases:

  • Where the Company has obtained the prior consent of each Customer;

  • Where personal information is disclosed under any relevant law or regulation (i.e., such disclosure is required by any court, public prosecutor's office, bar association, consumer information center or other government agency); and

  • Where all or part of services of handling personal information are outsourced to the extent necessary to achieve any purpose of use.

4. Joint Use of Personal Information

The Company may disclose or provide personal information to the Company's affiliates and partner companies to achieve any purpose of use. In this case, the Company will carry out necessary and appropriate supervision of the personal information disclosed or provided.

5. Disclaimer for Personal Information

In the following cases, the Company will not be liable in any way for the acquisition of personal information of a Customer by third parties:

  • Where personal information is revealed through carelessness or other fault of the Customer;

  • Where the Customer provides his/her personal information on an external website linked from the Company's website, and then such information is used; and

  • Where any person other than the Customer acquires information that allows identification of the Customer (ID, etc.).

6. Destruction of Personal Information

The Company will destroy or delete personal information upon achieving or completing the purpose of use of such information acquired, when the information is reasonably deemed to be unnecessary.

7. Inquiries on Personal Information

With respect to personal information provided by Customers, each Customer may request as provided for in the relevant laws and regulations that the Company should use for a particular purpose, disclose, correct, add, delete, suspend the use of, erase, or suspend the provision to third parties of the Customer's personal information. For making such request, a Customer shall state details of their inquiry as listed below in writing, and send it by mail or inquiry form to the addressee below, enclosing or attaching any certificate by which the Customer proves their identity (a copy of their driver's license, passport or other identification documents).

After confirming the details of a request, the Company shall properly handle the request based on the relevant laws and regulations.

Other inquiries on the handling of personal information by the Company shall also be sent to the addressee below.

Details of an inquiry (such as confirmation, correction or deletion of personal information; details of items to be corrected shall also be stated in cases of requesting corrections.)
