July: Enters the Sega Dreamcast software market with the release of multiplayer mech action game "FRAME GRIDE (DC)."

Joins the SONY PlayStation 2 software market.

2003
April: 3D ninja action game "TENCHU 3 (PS2)" is released.
This is the first time that FromSoftware publishes software developed by another studio.
2004
Enters the mobile gaming market.
January: FromSoftware's first mobile phone game, "KING'S FIELD" is released.
July: Acquires the copyright of the Tenchu series from Activision Publishing, Inc.
December: Enters the SONY PlayStation Portable software market with the release of the mech simulator "ARMORED CORE FORMULA FRONT (PSP)."
December: Marks the 10th anniversary of the entry into the game software market.
2005
January: The first game developed jointly with Banpresto Co., Ltd., "Another Century’s Episode (PS2)" is released.
August: The 10th installment in the series, "ARMORED CORE LAST RAVEN (PS2)" is released.
September: Hosts the industry's first internship that lets students experience game development, using our own PSP adventure game creation kit "ADVENTURE PLAYER (PSP)."
2006
Enters the Microsoft Xbox 360 software market.
January: Role-playing game "[eM]-eNCHANT arM- (Xbox 360)" is released.
March: The second game developed jointly with Banpresto Co., Ltd., "Another Century’s Episode 2 (PS2)" is released.
April: Enters the Nintendo NINTENDO DS software market with the release of "TENCHU DARK SHADOW (NDS)."
June: Develops a game jointly with Sega Corporation and releases the team-based online action game "CHROMEHOUNDS (Xbox 360)."
July and September: Increases capital through allocation of new shares to a third party.
November: Marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the company.
"ARMORED CORE -MACHINE SIDE BOX- 1997-2006" and "KING'S FIELD DARK SIDE BOX" are released on the 20th anniversary.
December: Enters the SONY PlayStation 3 software market with the release of the high-speed mech action game, "ARMORED CORE 4 (PS3)."
2007
Jointly establishes Co-Core Inc. with transcosmos inc. and SANKEI SHIMBUN CO., LTD.
Announces the development of the 3D virtual community project, "meet-me."
July: "Hello Kitty NO OSHARE PARTY SANRIO CHARACTER ZUKAN DS (NDS)" is released in collaboration with Sanrio Co., Ltd.
August: "BIKKURIMAN DAIJITEN (NDS)" is released in collaboration with LOTTE Co., Ltd.
September: Jointly develops the third game with Banpresto Co., Ltd. and releases "Another Century’s Episode 3 THE FINAL (PS2)".
2008
May: Undergoes a stock split.
October: Enters the Nintendo Wii software market with the release of the ninja action game "TENCHU 4".
2009
February: FromSoftware works with Sony for the first time and develops the action RPG "Demon's Souls (PS3)" which is released by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
June (to March 2010): 6 PSP remakes are released as the Portable series.
September: "Demon's Souls" is selected as one of the Award for Excellence winners for Japan Game Award 2009.
2010
August: "Another Century's Episode: R (PS3)" is released as the fourth game developed jointly with Banpresto Co., Ltd.
August: FromSoftware works with Capcom. Felyne life simulator "MONHAN-NIKKI POKAPOKA AIROU-MURA (PSP)" is released by Capcom.
September: Announces a joint business venture with Namco Bandai Games.
2011
August: FromSoftware works with Capcom. Felyne life simulator "MONHAN-NIKKI POKAPOKA AIROU-MURA G (PSP)" is released by Capcom.
September: Develops the action RPG "DARK SOULS (PS3)" jointly with Namco Bandai Games.
It sells 1.5 million units worldwide as of November 2011.
2012
January: Develops a game jointly with Namco Bandai Games and releases the mech action game "ARMORED CORE Ⅴ (PS3/Xbox 360)."
March: FromSoftware works with Namco Bandai Games. A mech action game "KIDO-SENSHI GUNDAM UC (PS3)" is released by Namco Bandai Games.
June: FromSoftware works with Capcom. Dramatic war simulator (vehicle simulator) "JUTEKKI (Xbox 360 Kinect)" is released by Capcom.
October: DARK SOULS DLC and the DLC-bundled package "DARK SOULS with ARTORIAS OF THE ABYSS EDITION (PS3)" are released.
2013
September: Develops a game jointly with Namco Bandai Games and releases the mech action game "ARMORED CORE VERDICT DAY (PS3/Xbox 360)."
2014
March: Develops a game jointly with Namco Bandai Games and releases the action RPG "DARK SOULS Ⅱ (PS3/Xbox 360/Windows)" which ships 2.4 million units worldwide as of September 2014.
April: Announces that KADOKAWA CORPORATION acquires an 80 per cent of From Software's stock. May: Becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kadokawa group.
2015
February: Releases "DARK SOULS Ⅱ: SCHOLAR OF THE FIRST SIN (PS3/Xbox 360/Windows)" which bundles the base game and all three DLCs.
Enters the SONY PlayStation 4 software market.
March: The action RPG "Bloodborne (PS4)" which is developed by FromSoftware is released by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

September: The Felyne life simulator "MONHAN-NIKKI POKAPOKA AIROU-MURA DX (3DS)" which is developed by FromSoftware is released by Capcom.
October: Opens a new studio in Fukuoka to enhance development capacity.
