in 2018
FromSoftware, Inc. (Head Office: Shibuya, Tokyo; Managing Director: Hidetaka Miyazaki) has announced that action game ‘METAL WOLF CHAOS XD’ will be available for purchase globally on PlayStation®4, Xbox One™ and Windows®. Development of this port is being carried out by General Arcade, with FromSoftware and Devolver Digital handling sales in Japan and overseas respectively. Release is scheduled for 2018.
The game is a current-gen update of ‘METAL WOLF CHAOS’ originally released in December, 2004 as an Xbox exclusive action game. The concept and characteristics of the original are still very much intact. Players use a diverse range of weaponry to bring exhilarating, cathartic destruction to overwhelming enemy numbers, with visual optimisations and playability improvements in this new multi-platform, worldwide release.

Visual updates
Optimised visuals for current generation consoles and PC. Improvements to select textures and visual effects, full HD (1080p), 16:9 widescreen and 4K support.*
Playability improvements
While the difficulty and play feel of the original have been preserved, adjustments are being made to usability and select gameplay systems to make the game even more accessible.
* Enjoy the game at a higher resolution by connecting your PS4 Pro, Xbox One X or 4K output-enabled PC to a 4K TV or monitor. PS4 Pro and Xbox One X use upscaling for equivalent 4K display, while PC displays in native 4K.
